Having not been particularly inspired by the festive magazines last year, or by the festive offerings of Hobbycraft, I’m going to be continuing to use the Stash. And trying not to repeat designs from previous years. It can be all too easy sometimes to just fall back on a tried and tested design, especially when time is of the essence.
But then I found this cut and emboss folder, from a set called Alpine Village which came with Simply Cards & Papercraft 211. A few years old and one which I only got because I had a subscription at the time. I wasn’t hugely inspired when I received it, and so into the drawer it went! I didn’t even use the pretty papers which came with it either.
I’m not sure where the paper pack I took the background from came from, but it did come from a magazine. Also from several years ago.
The pearls, though, came from The Works. I also brushed the pine-branches with an opalescent ink, but you can’t really see that. I did use dimensional foam to stick the snow section down but I’m not sure it quite had the effect I was after, of falling in front of the branches.
I’ll have to try and find the accompanying magazine, for better ideas for this folder.
