Green Hexagons

Not being the sort of person who sends cards for Hallowe’en (nor understands why you would), I’m ignoring it. Nor do I normally decorate with spiders’ webs – I spend the rest of the year taking a duster to them as it is!

Instead, I’m continuing with building up the ordinary, every-day card stash.

This card could be for any sort of ordinary every-day occasion: birthday, just-because, thank you. And it would work in any colour.

I used the various Memento greens, starting light with the background and then the darker shades for the hexagons, which came from the Versatile stamp set with Creative Stamping 109.

I’ve decided to use this as a birthday card, and added some green gems for a bit of sparkle. I did consider adding some die-cut ferns, perhaps, or other leaves to go in behind the hexagon panel, but then thought not. But I might yet try a variation with some. Others of the tiles have more flowery designs, which would work better with background ferns.
