Having rediscovered the Dew Drop Dash, I wondered how it would work for a Christmas card. I also wondered about using VersaMagic Dew Drops rather than the Memento ones of my previous Dew Drop cards.
Of course, with the VersaMagic, I’m a bit limited with colours as I have far fewer of those. I have a full set of the Memento inks, but I’m still building up the VersaMagics. On the other hand, I seem to have several purple shades, so thought at least I could do a night-sky, with a sleigh and reindeer going across it. And then some sparkly gems for stars.
So I gave it a go.
The only difficulty I found was in choosing a sentiment which fitted in the corner and went with the image. Or maybe I was just thinking too much about it. Mind you, a simple “Merry Christmas” would probably work just as well. What would be really good for this sort of scene would be “And to all a good night!”. But I don’t have that, or the sort of printer that could make it.
But I think I shall collect a few more VersaMagics, for other background colours.
