Sometimes, you learn a new technique or come across a good way of making cards and you make a few, and then you move on to the next thing and forget about it.
A few years ago, I came across the Dew Drop Dash, for an easy background, and made a few cards. Then I got bored and tried something else.
But I remembered it again while staring at the Stampendous Totally Tropical stamp set from a few years back (Creative Stamping 85).
Normally, with the Dew Drop Dash, I’d use different shades of a colour but this time I decided to go with the macaw’s colours, in the right order. A different way of colouring the stamp, I thought. And then a green sentiment, and a green backing paper.
A two-minute sort of card, for the short of time or emergency. Doesn’t even need any sparkly bits or other ephemera: just inks and stamps.
