Autumn Birds

There’s a chill in the air now that the seasons are changing. Definitely autumnal, although the leaves on the trees still seem to be green. We’ve put the feeders out again for the birds.

The stamp set I pulled for this week was the Fabulous Feathers stamp set with the co-ordinating stamp and die by Stampendous which came with a Creative Stamping earlier this summer. I can’t find my copy of the magazine to identify the issue number, though. Naturally.

I didn’t, in the end, use the layering stamp set, just the stamp and die pair, with a background paper from who-knows-where which I had in the Stash. But the paper seemed suitably autumnal, and the feathers I stamped and heat-embossed in copper. I’m still not hugely sure about the orange gems – I don’t know if it’s the colour or the placement which is causing me problems – but never mind.

It’s good, sometimes, to have a card where the background paper does most of the heavy-lifting.
