Some time ago, as an extra freebie with a magazine, I picked up the Altenew Modern Blooms set. I’ve got several other such Altenew stamp sets, with the layering stamps, but I don’t often use them. A misguided belief that they’re complicated, or need lots of time, perhaps.
Not true, it turns out.
Once I’d worked out my colours, and pulled the stamps from the sheet, actually it was a very quick stamp. Followed by die-cutting with the matching die.
I had the idea for this card from Sam of Pootles Papercraft, a Stampin’ Up demonstrator, though I don’t generally use SU items (I only have a handful). But I liked the card, so thought I’d have a go at something similar using what I had to hand.
The leaves behind the flower were a stamp from the Spring Foliage set by Stamps by Chloe. I forget which magazine it came with, though.
At some later date, I shall add a sentiment, when I have an occasion for it. For now, it shall sit in the stash, awaiting a home.
Layering stamps always look good. I’ve invested in a couple and also bought some layering dies to use with my cutter, the dies are more complicated!

They do – I have a couple of sets, although this is my most complicated, I think. Layering dies sound like the sort of thing that requires a lot of patience and concentration!.

It really does, it took me much longer than I was expecting!
