C is for Cockatiel

Back on track with the alphabet-inspiration. Sort of. I think they’re cockatiels, which is a much better C is for than the alternative, which is Celebration. And which is just as much of a cop-out as Christmas.

There’s been a lack of crafting-time recently, and a lot of excess working, so I’ve only had time for a bit of ink-blending and stamping. Although I did end up having to do it twice, because removing the masking-tape tore a strip from the blue triangle I’d done. Fortunately, neither version actually took very long to make.

Having said that though, I did manage to cut out a mask for the cockatiels for the second attempt. It was much easier, and quicker, than I thought it might be. Turns out, it’s much easier to fussy-cut a post-it than card. Or it was an easy shape to cut.

The stamps came from two different sets: the cockatiels from the Stampendous Tropical Treetops from Creative Stamping 85, and the sentiment from the RSPB Summer Birds set. The inks were Memento (Bahama Blue and Rose Bud, and Tuxedo Black for the words: what else?). And then some adhesive gems to round it off, because I can’t resist a bit of sparkle.
