In these dark winter days of gloom, it’s good to have a little light relief. Something to brighten the spirit, even if it’s grey outside and the papers are full of doom.
When it comes to cheery cards, naturally I turn to House Mouse stamps from Stampendous, but I also have a few cute Margaret Sherry stamps from a magazine some years ago.

Mostly I knew of Margaret Sherry’s illustrations from cross-stitch patterns, so I couldn’t resist when I came across the stamp set. Despite not, at the time, being much into card making.
The House Mouse I used alcohol inks, and the Margaret Sherry, colouring pencils. And then it was a matter of choosing a suitable backing paper, and stamping a sentiment. What could be easier? Or more relaxing. Simple and straight-forward.
