Card of the Week: Peace on Earth

So far this year, I’ve only bolstered my festive stamps by a couple of kits. Partly because I still love the ones I collected last year, and partly because of the variety provided by the Crafter’s Companion double set which came with Creative Stamping 100.

I was particularly pleased for the religious-themed quarter of stamps, since I’ve had greater trouble finding these sorts of stamps elsewhere. Clearly, I’m just not looking in the right places.

I’ve been having great fun with all the stamps in the set, which made my festive cards such a doddle to do, along with the lovely Stained Glass and Winter Stags sets from issues 89 and 90. I’ve also expanded the card-sizes I make, to include 5×5”. I know, SO adventurous of me. Normally I stick to the sensibly-sized 4×6” cards, but I was browsing Hobbycraft with a voucher in my pocket and thought I’d try something new.

This card uses stamps from the aforementioned Crafter’s Companion freebie set, a bit of heat-embossing and clear gems. And a 5×5” card base.

I doubt it’ll be the last in this style that I make either. It wasn’t the first, having already made a similar one with a gold-embossed “Come let us adore him” sentiment. No doubt there will be others to follow.
