When I get a new crafting magazine, one of the first things I do is flick to the back to check out what’ll be in the next month’s edition. Mostly to see what the next free gift will be and whether I’m interested enough to make a note of the publication date.
Sometimes I’m interested enough to start a countdown. The Beneath the Waves stamp and embossing folder set from Stampendous (usually a good sign, I find) which came with Creative Stamping 97 was one such set. I thought it would go well with various other sea-themed sets I have.
And I liked the sea-creatures.
This card was inspired by one in the magazine, though the original idea used Color Bursts for the background. Not having any of those, I opted for blending various blue inks over the white heat-embossed jellyfish. And then scattered with clear gemstones and stuck to a blue card base.
Nice and simple and ready for any occasion.
Love this! That blue is beautiful!

Thanks 🙂 Unfortunately, I can’t remember exactly which of the Memento blues I used!
