This Week in Crafts: Elegant Elephant

One of the advantages of switching back to birthday cards is getting to play with the stamps sets which arrived when I was coming to the end of the 20-21 Birthday Season and therefore didn’t have much need for them. But I really liked the sets, so I got them anyway. And then put them aside, for later.

Like Creative Stamping 93’s mindful stamp set. I did actually manage to use the seahorse stamp for one of the later cards of the season. But it was one of those sets which I looked forward to from the Next Issue page of issue 92.

The image shows a zentangle elephant outlined in white on a black background. There is a sentiment in the bottom left corner which reads Birthdays are good for you. The more you have the longer you live!

And now I’m having fun with the other stamps in the set, starting with the elephant, which fits nicely on an A6-sized card-front. I stamped and heat-embossed it in white. And then thought that was about all that was needed for this card. Simple and elegant. My kind of card.

The sentiment, though, comes from a different set, from Simply Cards & Papercraft 204, and which seemed quite suitable to accompany such a long-lived sort of creature.
