TWIC: Burst of Summer Box

Summer Fruit Box

Sometimes, all you need to lift the spirits is a splash of bright colours.

I enjoyed stitching this box of fruits – though I’m not sure what I’m going to use it for. One of the nice things about cover-kits is that they’re easily completed in an afternoon or so. And one of the best things about stitching on card rather than aida is that there are no fractional stitches. Or other complicated sorts of stitches. Just simple, straightforward, whole crosses.

This box came with CrossStitcher issue 334, and has been stashed in my bag of mini-kits ever since. But it has inspired me to go in search of dies to cut a cross-stitch grid for cards or boxes of my own.
