Sometimes, it’s good to be able to bring together two different hobbies.
One of the things I like about mini cross-stitches is that they lend themselves nicely to becoming cards. And with the card kits which often come as the magazine freebie, they usually have lovely, matching cards. And envelopes.
I’m surprised by how often the card kits that come with paper-crafting magazines seem to forget the envelopes. Oh, I know, as a paper-crafter, it shouldn’t be too difficult to make an envelope, but it’s effort, and by the time you’ve made a beautiful card, you don’t really want to be thinking about making an envelope as well. Or is that just lazy old me?
So I appreciate the card-kits that cross-stitch magazines provide.
This card-kit came with The World of Cross Stitching, issue 269. One of the things I like about WOXS kits is that they have the pattern with the kit, and not just in the magazine. It’s there too, but if the kit should become separated from the magazine, you can still make it. Not all magazine kits are like this, which annoys me a little.
I’m curious do you send out your finished cards to others or do you keep them for yourself?

Generally I send them out. I’ve only recently started making random cards – in the past I’ve made them with a destination in mind.
