Looking back, 2019 feels like it has been a very reactive sort of year. It feels like I’ve lurched from one crisis to another, without any real time to draw breath let alone take stock before the next one hit.
Only my crafting and, in the latter half of the year, my writing here has kept me sane. And now I feel like I might have a handle on things, a plan for moving forwards, which I am actually sticking to – a first for me! And I’ve kept going – the trick will be in keeping going, which is harder, long-term.
I just have to keep reminding myself to have patience. That creating anything takes time and slow, steady work. Everything that appears to happen “overnight” does so only as a result of lots of hidden hard work.
Here’s to a proactive 2020!
